Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you sign in with GitHub, we collect and store:

• Your GitHub username, display name, avatar image, and bio
• Public GitHub activity metrics (repositories, commits, stars, followers) used to calculate your "Cracked Score"
• Information you add yourself: role, years of experience, work status, category tags, portfolio/blog URL, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt, and Peerlist handles, and any products you list

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate and display your Cracked Score and public profile
• To display your profile and products on the public leaderboard and your profile page at /u/[username]
• To fetch metadata (title/favicon) for product URLs you submit, via a third-party metadata service

3. Your Profile Is Public

By creating a profile, your display name, bio, role, category tags, social handles, and listed products become publicly visible to anyone who visits craked.dev, including via the leaderboard. Do not include information in your profile you don't want publicly visible.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate craked.dev:

• Supabase — for authentication and database storage
• GitHub API — to sync your public profile and activity data
• Microlink — to fetch metadata for product URLs you submit

We do not sell your data to third parties or use advertising trackers.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (via Supabase), encrypted at rest. We do not store your GitHub password or payment information — we never collect it.

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Update your profile information at any time via Settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at support@craked.dev or using the delete-account option in Settings
• Withdraw consent to data processing by deleting your account

We will act on deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

craked.dev is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
